GMO’s and Organic do NOT mix.

Brown Box Organics does not support GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) and we make every effort to buy only GMO free food. That is a major reason why we carry only Certified Organic produce and organic is part of our name. Part of the meaning of organic has always been GMO free and we hope it keeps that value. Still, we are constantly asked if we carry GMO free food. It’s a great question and we are so happy that this has become a major concern for so many consumers.

We wanted to share an expert from a recent USDA article that answers this question and might help you understand why Brown Box Organics is certified as an organic handler. Being Certified Handlers and GMO free are just two more ways that Brown Box Organics is different from most of the areas food markets.
