Creamy Balsamic Dressing

creamy balsamic dressing I love trying new recipes. My new favorite dressing recipe this month is Creamy Balsamic Dressing. It is really low in sodium, fat and calories compared to most other creamy dressing. Since it is easy to make and much better than any bottled dressing I can’t help but love it! Scroll down for the simple recipe for Creamy Balsamic Dressing and a couple recipes for ways to incorporate this tasty dressing into your menu.

Simple! Whisk ingredients below together. Tastes even better if you chill in the refrigerator for a few hours.

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsps dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tbsps honey
  • 3 tbsps yogurt
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil

Green Salad. Toss together ingredients below and top with Creamy Balsamic. I love to serve this with grilled salmon.

  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 16 oz. black ripe olives
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped

Creamy Balsamic Chicken

creamy balsamic chickenAnother great way to use Creamy Balsamic Dressing recipe above is with chicken. It is also good with Salmon, but I personally prefer the simple grilled flavor of salmon with a green salad on the side topped with Creamy Balsamic. To make Creamy Balsamic Chicken simply pour the dressing over the chicken breasts before you bake or even use it in the crock pot. You could also marinade overnight and then grill.  This chicken is so flavorful and pairs well with a whole grain like Brown Rice or Farro.

Our family favorite grain is by far Farro. If you haven’t tried Farro just yet you should! It is much like a fluffy brown rice. The flavor is so good and it has fast become our favorite! While we don’t always carry Farro we would be happy to special order it for you if it is currently out of stock. I buy it in bulk for my family.
