Berry Lemonade Slush Plus More

slush

Happy July!

I am sure many other people have come across this delicious treat for those warm weather days before I had. It’s so simple. Make lemonade, add berries, ice and blend with a high speed blender. YUM! Since this discovery I have tried several flavors. Some are good, some not so much. Here are a few of my favorites:

Strawberry Lemonade Slush

  • 16 oz. strawberries, frozen
  • 1/2 lemon, seeds and rind removed
  • 2 cup ice
  • water as needed to make smooth
  • sugar as desired. we like ours plain, but if we have company I will add some organic sugar or agave to slightly sweeten

Watermelon Lime Slush

  • 4 cups watermelon cut in chunks, frozen
  • 1/2 lime, seeds and rind removed
  • 2 cup ice
  • water as needed to make smooth
  • sugar as desired. we like ours plain, but if we have company I will add some organic sugar or agave to slightly sweeten.

Tropical Slush

  • 2 cups pineapple chunks, frozen
  • 1 banana, chopped and frozen
  • 1 orange, seeds and rind removed
  • 3 cup ice
  • water as needed to make smooth

Looking for an even faster recipe? Mix 1 cup frozen berries (any, but we like raspberries or strawberries), ice and a bottle of Santa Cruz Organic Strawberry Lemonade in the blender.

Enjoy!
