We love to provide only REAL GOOD FOOD. Finding a local source for milk was a daunting task. Our passion for real food and locally sourced food led us to expand from offering just Certified Organic Produce in 2008. Our search led us to Cloverleaf Creamery in Buhl, Idaho where we first met Bill and Donna Stoltzfus at their creamery. Here is your chance to get to know a little more about where the local award winning milk comes from that we deiver all over the valley each week.
Bill Stoltzfus has been in the dairy business since the early 70’s and is nationally known for his humane dairy operations and practices and his award winning herd. His cattle, all of which have names, are treated to 30 acres of grass pasture when the weather permits and sleep on fresh straw beds in the winter. They are also given a balanced diet from a professional nutritionist that includes food that Bill & Donna grow themselves. The cattle are not treated with rbst and are not milked for production if they are receiving antibiotics. This healthy lifestyle and diet all the majority of Bill’s cows to live well into their teens, sometimes four times as long as the average dairy cow
The glass bottles used are not just for show. They give the milk a better taste by keeping it colder and fresher longer. The glass bottles maintain that fresh milk flavor and unlike some plastic bottles, do not leach chemicals. These bottles are also reusable and recyclable.
If you are ever in the area, Bill & Donna invite you to visit the dairy, just south of Buhl, and see their operations. You can meet the herd including the “Grandma” who is 16 years old and Christmas Cow who was born on, you guessed it Christmas.
On your way out of town, stop by the creamery to taste their all natural homemade dairy products. In the meantime enjoy free home delivery on whole cream top milk, skim milk, 2% milk, half and half, cream and chocolate milk. Special order available for ice cream.
